Lance Wood Hart (1891 - 1941) was active/lived in Washington, Oregon. Lance Hart is known for Landscape, figure and mural painting, design.
The following is David Martin of Martin-Zambito Fine Art, Seattle WA
Born in Aberdeen, Washington, Lance Hart received his professional training at the Chicago Art Institute and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Stockholm, Sweden. His figural work and his landscapes of the mid-teens and early 1920's display a unique regional appropriation of European Post Impressionist technique to his Pacific Northwest subjects. This is especially true of his landscapes of Aberdeen and the Gray's Harbor area.
While still at the Chicago Art Institute, Hart won numerous awards and exhibited in 1915 at their prominent national exhibition. During this time that he also earned a fine reputation as a stage actor and set designer. He continued to work in theater productions in Chicago and Washington state but eventually devoted his career to painting, printmaking and art instruction.
