William Ladd Taylor (1854 - 1926) was active/lived in Massachusetts.  William Taylor is known for Magazine illustration, symbolism, frontier and religious subjects.

An artist and illustrator of historical New England, Southern and Western life, he was born in New England and studied art in Paris, New York, and Boston.

He did several series documenting vanishing life, one of them dealing with Frank Cushing, anthropologist who did ground-breaking work among the Zuni Indians in New Mexico.
