Allan Gould (1908 - 1988) was active/lived in New York, California / Puerto Rico.  Allan Gould is known for Designer, architectural, mural painting, educator.

Born in New York City on June 17, 1908. Gould studied at Dartmouth College and Art Students League in NYC. He was a resident of Laguna Beach in the 1930s and Bearsville, NY in 1940. He died in Puerto Rico on April 1, 1988. Exh: GGIE, 1939.

Description:  Gould received two mural commissions from the Treasury Department: "Gathering Tobacco" for the Roxboro, NC Post Office (1938) and "Source of Power" for the Greenville, KY Post Office (1940). Life Magazine (Jan 27 1941) included "Source of Power" as a rare example of a Precisionist mural.
