Linda Lucas-Hardy (20/21st century) is active/lives in Texas. Linda Lucas Hardy is known for Photo-real colored pencil drawing.
Linda Lucas-Hardy was born in Texarkana, Texas. When she was two, her family moved to Fort Worth where they lived until Lucas-Hardy was twelve. Close to her thirteenth birthday, her family moved back to Texarkana.
A strong desire to draw and a natural ability surfaced early in Lucas-Hardy's life. She began her early art training at the age of thirteen by taking private lessons. By the time she was in high school, art had become her primary interest. In the mid 1960s Lucas-Hardy entered Texarkana Jr. College but withdrew after a year and a half to go to work. In 1972 she got married and began to raise a family. She did not resume her studies until the mid 1980s, when her love for art was reignited by taking an oil painting class at East Texas State University in Texarkana. The following year she enrolled in North East Texas Community College to, as she put it, ''take an art course,'' which was meant to occupy some of her time afte ...
