Peggy Watkins

Peggy Watkins (Born 1963) is active/lives in South Carolina, Georgia / Africa.  Peggy Watkins is known for Wildlife paintings, pet portraits.

Peggy Watkins was born to a Navy family in the state of Washington.  Her family moved across the United States and Asia throughout her childhood.  Her last known residence (as of February 2008) is Atlanta, Georgia.  Peggy worked on animal drawings and was commissioned for pet portraits while she was pursuing a career in business. 

She received formal art training at the Atlanta College of Art, Atlanta, Georgia from Krisopher Meadows as well as attending workshops by Dave Wade and John Banovich.  Peggy also learned her painting techniques from studying works by John Singer Sargent, Joaquin Sorolla and Richard Schmid.

An avid researcher, Peggy spends a great deal of time in the field observing and photographing hunting dogs and wildlife.  She and her husband, Todd, also spend time in Africa each year in the country of Zambia researching the natural wildlife for her paintings.
