Fritz Kohler (1887 - 1972) was active/lived in Germany.  Fritz Kohler is known for Landscape painting, rural genre, marine painter.

Born Friedrich Köhler, Fritz lived from 1887 Moritzberg in Hildesheim until 1972 Dusseldorf. German landscape and marine painter, Fritz spent his youth in Hamburg, and from 1905-07 he was a student at the Kunstgewerbeschule Hamburg-Altona. Fritz studied from 1909-12 at the Academy Weimar with Max Thedy and was a master student of Theodor Hagen.

Since 1913 Kohler was active in Dusseldorf-Oberkassel, credited with the exhibitions of the Art palace Dusseldorf, and the Great Berlin Art exhibitions from 1938-1944. Kohler presented at the Great German Art Exhibitions at the house of German Art in Munich and the Kunsthalle Hamburg. Kohler was a member of the National Association of visual Artists of Germany, and the artist Malkasten Dusseldorf. He was on the team for organizing art exhibitions in Dusseldorf and was part of the Dusseldorf group of artists in 1949. 1967 he received the Order of merit._Thieme-Becker, Vollmer, Dressler and Wikipedia_
