Anzhi Zhang

Anzhi Zhang (1911 - 1990) was active/lived in China.  Anzhi Zhang is known for Chinese scroll watercolor painting, landscapes, botanics, education.

Zhang Anzhi, also known as Rujin, was a Chinese artist from Yangzhou, Jiangsu. He graduated from the Art Department of Nanjing Central University in 1931, where he was taught by renowned artists such as Xu Beihong and Pan Yuliang. 

After graduation, he focused on art creation, art history research, and art education. He joined the Chinese Artists Association in 1951 and held various positions in academia, including associate professor of the Fine Arts Department of Beijing Normal University, deputy director of the Chinese Painting Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, and professor of the Art History Department
