Artist Helge Helme was born in 1894. Helge Helme first studied at the technical school in Roskilde, and then studied art at the Academy in Copenhagen. CV Aargaard and Viggo Brandt were his professors.

Helme loved the feminine beauty and devoted himself entirely to painting models. The painting tradition of Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg can be seen: Eckersberg had specially rented an apartment with his students, where they could draw female nudes and paint. The silent intimacy begins Helme's, like his predecessors with the look of a voyeur.

Helme's took many trips to France starting in the 1920's. The artist passed away in 1987.
