Piotr Wachowski

Piotr Wachowski (Born 1976) is active/lives in Poland.  Piotr Wachowski is known for Painting.

Piotr Wachowski studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw from 1996. In 2001 he graduated with honors in the studio of prof. Wieslaw Szamborski and an annex to the diploma in the Studio of Art in Public Space of prof. Miroslaw Duchowski. A year later he was nominated for Polityka's Passports.

In 2003, he was awarded the EXIT quarterly award. He is a 2007 scholarship holder of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. Also this year, the reprint of the presented work decorated a station on one of the Warsaw metro lines. The project called "Urban space for art at the Marymont metro station" was already in the stage of designing the station.

Initially, the Gallery operated on the basis of a nationwide competition addressed to students and graduates of art schools who were under 35 years of age. The works were specially designed for this place and selected by a program board composed of recognized artists and art critics.
