Anne Dolven (Born 1953) is known for Paintings.

Anne Katrine Dolven was born in 1953.  Anne Katrine Dolven left her hometown Oslo at the age of 19 to study at the École des Beaux-Arts in Aix-en-Provence and at the École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.  In 1987/88 she stayed at the artist in residence program at the Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin.  A DAAD Scholarship enabled her to stay in Berlin for a little bit longer, finally only leaving in 1997 to London, the town she still calls home.

‘A K Dolven’ was awarded the Fred-Thieler-Preis of 2000 for Painting in Berlin.  Dolven’s photo and video works often depict subject matters from the area of her house in Lofoten Islands and other places North of the Arctic Circle.  She is known for her public sculptural works and the project ‘Nordland Artscape’. 

Her art is exhibited worldwide and held by reputable international museum collections.  She lives in London and Lofoten, Norway.
