Hong Yu (Born 1966) is active/lives in China.  Hong Yu is known for Painting.

Yu Hong (b.1966)

Born in the Shaanxi Province in 1966, she is a contemporary Chinese painter. Her compositions are often rendered in vivid color schemes and bold brush strokes. Her works characteristically portray, as described by Britta Erickson, the "poetry of day-to-day existence" from a female perspectives in all stages of life.  Her works also explore the relationship between the individual and the rapid social change taking place in China.  Her work has been collected by numerous institutions worldwide.

She studied at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, where she received her Bachelors of Fine Arts in Oil Painting in 1988 and her Masters of Fine Arts in Oil Painting in 1995.
 
Yu Hong has held exhibitions at renowned art spaces worldwide, including Goedhuis Contemporary in New York (2003); the Pierre Cardin Arts Centre in Paris (2004); and the Singapore Art Museum, Singapore (2001).
