Agata Krutul was a graduate of the Faculty of Painting with a specialization in scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow and the Faculty of Arts of the Institute of Fine Arts of the Maria Curie-Sklodowska University in Lublin. She became a painter, teacher, and set designer. At work, she chooses a small form and space, because she likes detail. She brings her paintings to life, making most of the decorations and costumes with her own hands. Thus, her painting strongly identifies with the scenery. She merges these worlds with the help of several tools: surfaces, textures, dirty colors. She plays with the subject grotesquely, placing it against a background that does not match. She constantly paints houses. Also boats, hybrid bikes, fowl and own body. Still, new topics emerge. Topics that interest her at the moment are taken on.
