Abel Dominique Boye (1864 - 1934) was active/lived in France.  Abel Boye is known for Painting.

Abel-Dominique Marmande Boyé was born in 1864, and died in 1934. Levallois-Perret, genre and nude painter, studied at the École des beaux-arts in Bordeaux and Paris.


Abel Dominique Boyé was a disciple of Benjamin Constant in Paris. In 1892 he made a trip to Toledo where he painted the picture "Le mendiant" (The beggar) which is preserved in the Albert Marzelles Museum in the French town of Marmande. In 1893 he visited Seville, the result of his stay is the work entitled "Un dimanche a Séville" or "Sevillana" (La Ilustración Artística, 1901). The life and work of the author has been reviewed in "À la découverte de Abel Boyé. Peintre de la fin du XIX siècle. Dossier pour l'enseignement" of the Musée Albert Marzelles, and in "La Ilustración Artística", Number 1.027,1901.
