Alfonso T Toran

Alfonso T. Toran (1896 - 1965) was active/lived in New York, Florida / Italy.  Alfonso Toran is known for Floral and fruit still life and exotic bird image easel and mural painting, design, teaching.

In 1935 Alfonso Toran was the director of the Creative Studios of Art & Decoration in New York City. Toran painted murals in New York for the Hotels Delmonico, the Pierre, the New Yorker, the Waldorf-Astoria, Texaco and Chrysler Buildings.

Toran had a winter studio in Hollywood, Florida. A painter, decorator, designer, lecturer, writer and teacher, Toran received awards for his work in Italy, France and the United States. He was listed in Who’s Who in American Art in 1947 and 1959.
