Known for his long career as an illustrator and cover artist for the Newyorker magazine, Arthur Kimmel Getz completed three murals funded through the Treasury Department's Section of Fine Arts: Lancaster, New York Post Office, 1940; Bronson, Missouri Post Office, 1941; and Lavern, Alabama Post Office, 1942.
