Bernard Charoy

Bernard Charoy (1931 - 2024) was active/lived in France.  Bernard Charoy is known for Painting.

Charoy first drew illustrations and book covers for Dargaud and Albin Michel. At the same time, he contributed cartoons to Le Figaro and Ici Paris. In the 1960s, the term "pin-up" was coined for drawings of young women in suggestive poses. The pin-up image invaded calendars and magazines alike. In the U.S., Mel Ramos imposed pin-ups as metal figurines that truckers would hang from the front of their trucks.
