Charles DeKlyn

Charles Francis DeKlyn (1865 - 1958) was active/lived in Ohio, New York.  Charles DeKlyn is known for Landscape, marine, portrait and figure painting.

Charles F. DeKlyn (1865-1958) -- Landscape, marine, portrait and figure painter, he was well known in Cleveland (Cuyahoga) during the 1880s and 1890s.  Born in Westchester County, New York, January 10, 1865, as a confectioner's son, he studied in New York and Paris from 1886 to 1891, then taught at the Cleveland Art Club and the Cleveland School of Art. 

In 1893, he was one of the founders of the Cleveland Brush and Palette Club, and he exhibited at the National Academy of Design in 1894 and 1895.  A member of the Society of Western Artists, DeKlyn died in Cleveland in 1958.
