Charles de Montfort

Charles de Montfort (Born 1910) was active/lived in France.  Charles de Montfort is known for Modernist landscapes, coastal Riviera and Paris scenes.

A painter of coastal scenes, landscapes and Paris streets, he was born in 1910 in Agaccio, Corsica, and studied at the Beaux Art Academy. He is also believed to have studied with Henri Matisse for three years. De Montfort mainly painted in watercolors and often signed his work with an alias.
