Cristino Mallo

Cristino Mallo (1905 - 1987) was active/lived in Spain.  Cristino Mallo is known for Painting and sculpture.

Cristino Mallo was a Spanish painter and sculptor who trained at the School of Arts and Crafts in Avilés and the San Fernando School in Madrid. He signed the manifesto of the Agrupación Gremial de Artistas Plásticos in 1931 and was awarded the National Sculpture Prize in 1933. 

He taught at the School of Arts and Crafts in Salamanca in 1935 and later settled permanently in Madrid. Mallo participated in the National Exhibitions of Fine Arts and was awarded the third medal in 1952 and the first in 1954. He achieved international recognition by exhibiting his work in Italy. 

In 1973, he became a member of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando, and in 1983 he was awarded the Gold Medal for Fine Arts. Mallo's work is represented in various collections, both public and private, and he has created important public monuments in Madrid.
