DANIEL RAY PARKER was raised in Kalispell, located in northwestern Montana. He is a self-taught artist, having gained some inspiration from the legendary Montana artist Charles Marion Russell. Local artistic talents such as Ace Powell and Frank Divita also had an impact on Parker early in his career.
