Ebba Von Essen

Ebba Von Essen (20/21st century) is active/lives in Ireland.  Ebba Von Essen is known for Painting.

Ebba Von Essen was born in Sweden where her art studies began in Stockholm from 1942 - 47. From there she went to study at Académies de Beaux Arts in Paris and Copenhagen.

In 1949, she studied in Paris under Andre Lhote the teacher of so many of our modernist artists including Mainie Jellett, Evie Hone, Norah McGuinness and Father Jack P. Hanlon.

Ebba married Count Axel Hamilton who became the Swedish Ambassador to Ireland and they settled at The Old Glebe, Banagher , Co. Offaly in 1976 before returning to Lund in Sweden in her later life.
