Emilio Tadini (Milan, 5 June 1927 - Milan, 25 September 2002) was an Italian painter, writer and essayist, president of the Brera Academy of Fine Arts from 1997 to 2000. After graduating in Literature at the Catholic University of the Sacred Heart in Milan, Tadini began his literary activity at just 20 years in the magazine Elio Vittorini's Politecnico in 1947 where he published La passione secondo Matteo and won the Serra prize with the jury Montale, Solmi and Muscetta. Since then he never interrupts his passion for writing and publishes essays, novels, poems and monologues. It also translates important works of the twentieth century such as Stendhal, Pound, Eliot, Céline Faulkner for publishers such as Einaudi and many others.

He exhibited his first works in the sixties. His first exhibition was in Venice at the Galleria del Cavallino and his first collector was the artist Tancredi. He was invited to the Venice Biennale in '78 and '82. His pictorial work develops   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 2571 characters.]  Artist bio
