Franz Korwan (1865 - 1942) was active/lived in Germany.  Franz Korwan is known for Landscape, figure.

Franz Korwan was born in Heinebach (Kassel) on October 26, 1865. Franz died around 1942 in the concentration camp Noè (Pyrenees). - Franz Korwan was a German landscape painter and graphic artist in Hamburg. For two years Korwan studied at the Düsseldorf Academy under Eugen Dücker. He undertook an eleven-month study trip to Italy (Florence), then stayed in Westerland on Sylt, where he had already previously worked. He worked here several years, and for two years was a master student of Eugen Ducker. He took up residence in Sylt and met frequently with Dücker, who had a strong influence on him. When war broke Korwin left Sylt and went to Berlin (graphic Art Institute). Since 1916 he lived in Hamburg, and the summer on Sylt. Korwin's art was mainly impressionist. Two pictures Korwin's are in Reichspostmus, Berlin. More of his pictures are on steamers of the Hamburg-America Line, also in Privatbes.
