Jean-Marie Zacchi, is a French painter of Corsican origin, born April 9, 1944. His works are deployed in figurative and abstract art with as subject landscapes, urban landscapes, architectural views, seascapes and still lifes. He was appointed painter of the Army in 1991 and official painter of the Navy in 2003.

Jean-Marie Zacchi is the son of Joseph Zacchi and Marie-Antoinette Andreani, both natives of the town of Cervione in Corsica. His father's military career took the whole family to distant lands. Around the age of 14, living in Paris, he was attracted to the great masters of modern and contemporary painting, following his models in his sketches. In 1962, he continued his art studies at the École supérieure des arts moderne, from where he graduated in 1965.
