Lloyd Sexton Jr

Lloyd Sexton, Jr. (1912 - 1990) was active/lived in Hawaii.  Lloyd Sexton Jr is known for Landscape, floral, still life and portrait painting.

A painter and sculptor, Lloyd Sexton was born in Hilo, Hawaii and settled in Honolulu in 1937 after studying art in Boston at the School of the Museum of the Fine Arts and the Slade School in London. He was known for his floral paintings and was part of the evolving decorative arts movement in Hawaii in the 1930s and 1940s. It was a blending of depictions of island floral and fauna with Art Deco style.

In addition to exhibiting widely in Hawaii, he exhibited at the Vose Galleries in Boston, the Boston Art Club and the Bournemouth Museum in England.
