Manuel Ventura Millan (1923 - 1984) was active/lived in Spain.  Manuel Millan is known for Still life, figure and seascape painting.

My deceased husband, was a US Navy LCdr stationed in Rota, Spain. We had the great opportunity to meet Mr. Manuel Ventura Millan in Sanlucar de Barrameda back in 1975. By then he was one of the best realistic oil painter artists in the world! Unfortunately he was not well known in other countries then.

I have been painting since 1968, I am also a realistic Painter, but Mr. Millan was, with out doubt a very gifted person from God. When you looked at his seascapes with splashing waves, you thought you could feel the water from his paintings in your face. I asked him how can he paint the ocean so realistic, and his answer was: "I have looked at the sea for sooo many years, I can even paint it when my eyes are closed."
