Art for Sale
Martin Stekker

Martin Stekker (1878 - 1962) was active/lived in Germany.  Martin Stekker is known for Painting.

Martin Stekker is an unjustly forgotten artist who posthumously, not least through the efforts of his family and respected art historian, painstakingly earned, though late, is gaining recognition. Roughly classifiable as an Impressionist, he was educated in painting class of Claus Meyer at the Dusseldorf Art Academy and in the master studio of Arthur fight in Berlin. In the era of National Socialism Stekker lived and worked in secret after the war left him little time for the breakthrough. Posthumously Berlin galleries cod and Pels-Leusden held from exhibitions to commemorate the artist's work.
