Carter, Mary Mein, miniatures and water colors; born in Philadelphia, Aug. 16th, 1864; daughter of John H. and Cecilia (Amer) Main; educated at the Convent of Sacred Heart, Torresdale, Pa.; married to Jas. Newman Carter (1891). 

Exhibited at the Penna. Acad. of Fine Arts (Phila.); and at the Art Club and School of Design (Phila.). 

Author of a book of alphabetical verses entitled Child’s life of Christ. 

Member of the Plastic Club (Phila.). 

Address, 4608 Kingsessing Ave., West Philadelphia, Pa.  Summers, Point Pleasant Cottage, Point Pleasant, N.J.
