Michael Craig-Martin (Born 1941) is active/lives in Connecticut / United Kingdom.  Michael Craig Martin is known for Painting, sculpture-pop art, installations.

Born in Ireland and based in London, Michael Craig-Martin is a conceptual artist who does painting, printmaking, sculpture and installations.  He has also been a Senior Tudor at Goldsmith College at the University of London, and is described as "one of the most influential artists of Britain's postwar generation." Among his students were Gary Hume, Damien Hirst and Julian Opie.

Many of his paintings have monochromatic backgrounds and reference modern culture with objects of everyday life such as musical instruments, suitcases, mobile phones, etc.

In the 1960s, he studied at the Yale School of Fine Art, and in 1966, he returned to Britain.
