Pietro Dandini

Pietro Dandini (1646 - 1712) was active/lived in Italy.  Pietro Dandini is known for Painting and sculpture, fresco painting.

Younger brother of the painters Cesare and Vincenzo Dandini, he was among the most active painters in the Baroque era in Florence, Prato and Pisa, where they are still preserved today numerous works. Other works are found at Palazzo Corsini, at Villa La Petraia (frescoes in the Cappella Nuova) and at Villa Bellavista near Pistoia (frescoes), at Palazzo Marchetti and Palazzo Gatteschi in Pistoia. The Four Seasons are preserved at Palazzo Montecitorio in Rome. Dandini was a prominent element of the late Tuscan Baroque, as he was able to observe and make his own the lessons of Pietro da Cortona and Luca Giordano, both active in Florence.   ...  [Displaying 696 of 1170 characters.]  Artist bio
