Richard Andrew — painter, teacher, and lecturer — was born on January 9, 1869 in Belfast, Ireland and died in 1956, in Gloucester, Mass.  Andrew specialized in murals, landscapes, and portraits and was a department head at the Massachusetts School of Art in Boston.  With his wife, Lucy Pew Andrew, he worked and lived mainly in Boston and Gloucester, MA.  His Boston addresses were 15 Tremont Street in 1896; 192 Boylston Street in 1906; 400 Northampton Street in 1907; 5 Watson Street in 1908; and the Fenway Studios in 1926.  Around 1913, Andrew and his wife were summer residents of Wolf Hill, Gloucester, MA and by 1934, they were living in Gloucester.
