Rudolf Neugebauer ( 1892 in Münster, † 1961 in Hamburg) was a German painter, graphic artist and sculptor. Rudolf Neugebauer studied at the arts and crafts school in Elberfeld. He then studied at the Berlin Academy, then with Habermann in Munich, in Paris in 1914, and in Hamburg since 1920.

He painted portraits, landscapes; predominantly large-figure compositions. Suggestions from Gauguin and Hofer. Etchings, copper engravings, lithographs, woodcuts. Since 1930, the artist also produced small sculptures. He went on study trips to Italy, southern France and Corsica. Neugebauer had exhibitions in Münster, Hamburg (Hamburg Secession) and Nuremberg.

Rudolf Neugebauer's graphic is typical for the period from 1915 to around 1930: The earliest sheet, with a vision of Christ crucified, is an artistic processing of experiences from the front.
