Art for Sale
Scott Miller

Scott Miller (1955 - 2008) was active/lived in Ohio.  Scott Miller is known for Figurative imagery paintings, abstraction.

Born in 1955, Miller was one of Cleveland's most productive artists. He studied at the Cooper School of Art in Cleveland before graduating in 1983 from the Cleveland Institute of art as a photography major.

He painted in a style which combined the sensual and bizarre, going from abstraction to figurative imagery in the 1980s. His dreamy agglomerations of cartoon-like creatures included men with crewcuts like the artist's own.  Toward the end of his life, Miller painted images of strange and eerie organisms that fused characteristics of plants and the human body.
He also created illustrations for Playboy Magazine and exhibited his work in the U.S. as well as Europe and Tokyo, Japan.

Scott Miller died an accidental death in his home and studio in Cleveland in May of 2008.
