Simon Pietersz Verelst (1644 - 1710 or 21) was active/lived in Netherlands.  Simon Verelst is known for Painting.

From a family of respected artists in Antwerp, Simon Pietersz. Verelst was admitted to the Guild of St Luke in the Hague in 1666, at the age of twenty-two. Two years later, he left for England, where he settled permanently. In London he met with great success: King Charles II himself bought a still life with grapes by the artist. Also a portrait painter, Verelst received many commissions from the English aristocracy. Simon Pietersz. Verelst drew his incomparable technical mastery from the teaching of his father, Pieter Hermansz. Verelst: it is easy to identify the assortment of flowers that make up his bouquets. But while his predecessors sought above all to depict rare varieties in compositions that were often rather stiff, Verelst broke away, breathing new life and movement into his works.
