Veronica Bolay (b.1941) She was born in Hamburg and studied there at the National College of Art and Design, 1958-1963. Upon moving to Ireland in 1971 she rapidly established herself holding regular solo exhibitions with the Lincoln Gallery in Dublin and participating in numerous group shows such as the Oireachtas, Independent Artists, E.V.A. in Limerick and the RHA. In a review of the exhibition 'Seán McSweeney and Friends' at the Boyle Arts Festival, 2001, Aidan Dunne observed that her pastel landscapes were often "charged with a sense of epiphany". She now exhibits with the Rubicon Gallery, Dublin and the Vangard Gallery, Macroom, Co. Cork. Source: Whyte's Auction
