William Gersham Collingwood (1854 - 1932) was active/lived in United Kingdom.  William Collingwood is known for Landscape painting.

Collingwood studied at Oxford under John Ruskin (1819-1900), whose influence on Collingwood's art and life was immense. Collingwood later moved to the Lake District, close to Ruskin's house at Coniston, and, from 1881, worked as Ruskin's assistant. He also had an academic career, serving as a Professor of Fine Art at University College, Reading, after Ruskin's death.   Artist bio
