Domingo Gatto

Domingo Gatto (1935 - 2008) was active/lived in Argentina.  Domingo Gatto is known for Still life and abstract face painting, collage, serigraphs.

Domingo Gatto was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on January 2, 1935. He began his studies at the National Academy of Fine Arts, studying drawing and composition , and plastic theory at Meebe, The Association of Students and Graduates of Fine Arts , of which he later became President-Director.

He traveled extensively to perfect his art and had private exhibitions in art galleries throughout Argentina, Europe, Middle east , Central America and the United States.

The Artist has earned the following scholarships : The Naval Fleet of the State (Paraguay-Brazil 1960), Government of Israel (Israel 1964/1969), National Foundation of the Arts (Argentina Northeast 1965, and Europe 1969), Government of Spain (Spain 1965), Government of Greece (Greece 1969).

He has participated in national, provincial and municipal exhibitions. Art works  artt in the permanent collection at Museo de Arte Tigre, Buenos Aires Argentina.

He died in 2008.
