Artist, deeply interested in capturing the distinctive quality of Mediterranean light, which he masterfully transfers onto the canvas using a frayed and pasty painting technique. His work is strongly influenced by the life of fishermen and commoners, portraying scenarios of daily life with vibrant and nervous brushstrokes, almost impressionist in style. A technique that brings him considerably closer to the painting of Fausto Pratella, who was also in love with Capri, with its lights and colours, which we clearly find in the large canvas in question. Giardiello manages to meticulously interpret and capture the moments of Capri life, infusing the sea and surrounding nature with light, while he animates the coast with the presence of boats and fisherm   ...  [Displaying 1000 of 1012 characters.]  Artist bio
