Jan Ryz

Jan Ryz (1946 - 2017) was active/lived in Czech Republic.  Jan Ryz is known for Pop-art, painting, collage, drawing, speeding vehicles, sport themes, teaching.

From 1963 to 1966 Jan Ryz was enrolled and then graduated from the University of Mechanical Engineering and Textiles in Liberec, Czech Republic. From 1969 to 1973 he studied at the Faculty of Education of the University of Hradec Králové, majoring in art education with Professor Borivoj Borovský.

After graduating, he moved to Prague, where he worked in the Central Bohemian Gallery in the 1980s, where he cared for and promoted graphic collections. He has been engaged in pedagogical activities since the 1990s. He was a high school professor of art at the grammar school, the Secondary Vocational School of Pedagogy and the Higher Vocational School in Prague 6 - Dejvice. From 2002 he taught at the Secondary School of Applied Arts in Prague 3. From 1999 to 2006 he was a member of the Association of Prague Painters. He was also a member of the Central Bohemian Association of Artists.
