Michal Baca was born in 1958. He studied at the Faculty of Painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, and received his diploma in the studio of professor Juliusz Joniak in 1983.

Michal has presented his works at 44 individual exhibitions. He has received numerous awards and distinctions in national painting competitions, and his works are in numerous collections of institutions and private persons in Poland and abroad.

This is the heir to the color tradition. The artist appreciates good technique and reliability. In his paintings, time seems to have gone back several decades. Views of lush meadows and forest thickets, fragments of neglected parks or gardens, rural cemeteries overgrown with grass - all this has existed invariably for years, regardless of the era. Even the genre scenes seem to be suspended in time. The painter wants to capture what is permanent in the world; by showing the experiences that most people have.
