Teresa Pagowska (1926 - 2007) was active/lived in Poland.  Teresa Pagowska is known for Abstract image oil paintings and mixed media on paper.

Polish artist Teresa Pagowska first studied painting in Poznan. From 1951 to 1964, she taught at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk (PWSSP), then joined the Warsaw Academy, where she later served as a teacher. In 1952 she turned temporarily to real socialism, and towards the end of the 1950s she intensified her approach to color and expression. Under the influence of the artist Piotr Potworowski, his paintings became more monumental over the next decade. She then concentrates on compositions of characters rich in tensions and contrasts. She gained international fame by participating in the "Fifteen Polish Painters" exhibition organized by the Museum of Modern Art, New York (MoMA) in 1961. From 1962, she was part of the Réalités Nouvelles association and of the School of Paris. "Tym co zajmuje mnie najglebiej jest postac ludzka. Nie tylko ze wzgledu na bogactwo formy".
