Andre Petroff

Andre Petroff (1894 - 1975) was active/lived in Russian Federation, France.  Andre Petroff is known for Abstract marine, townscape, figure and floral still-life painting.

Andrei Petrov - Russian artist, worked on the French Riviera. In 1909-1914 he studied at the Drawing School of the Society for the Encouragement of Arts, graduated from the course with a gold medal. In 1914 he participated in the International exhibition of graphics and printing industry in Leipzig.

In the First World War he served in the Russian expeditionary corps. From 1919 he lived in Paris. From 1920 he studied at the National School of Fine Arts, in F.Kormona.

Since 1923 he lived in Nice.

Solo exhibitions were held in Nice (1927, 1929, 1935, 1971), Paris (1935-1936), Cagnes-sur-Mer (1992-1993).
