Andrzej Krajewski

Andrzej Krajewski (1933 - 2018) was active/lived in Poland, United States.  Andrzej Krajewski is known for Painting.

He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw and obtained his diploma in 1963 in the studio of Henryk Tomaszewski. He studied painting with Wojciech Fangor. He deals primarily with applied graphics, creates posters, book and press illustrations, and designs album covers. His posters, created in the style of pop art, are distinguished by brightly colored, geometric forms close to comic book aesthetics. He has been living and working in the United States since 1985. In 2007, the artist returned to designing posters for Polish theater institutions, including: Powszechny Theater in Warsaw and Wybrzeze Theater in Gdansk and film posters. His works have been shown many times at the International Poster Biennial in Warsaw, the Illustration Biennial in Osaka and at exhibitions in London, Stockholm, Paris, Tokyo and Helsinki. Apart from film, the artist's favorite motifs also include music, especially jazz. For many years he collaborated with the Jazz Gallery on Hudson St. on SoHo.
