Antonio Piatti (Viggiù, 12 June 1875 - Viggiù, 29 August 1962) was an Italian painter and sculptor. First of the three sons of Domenico Piatti (1848 - 1915), appreciated sculptor and marble worker for generations, and Maria Buzzi Donelli (1852 - 1940) at 12 years he entered the paternal workshop determined to follow in his footsteps and subsequently at the study of the Turin sculptor Leonardo Bistolfi.

At age 17, he moved to Cuneo and enrolled in the drawing school of the Technical Institute. At 19 he entered the Brera Academy where he studied as a pupil of Cesare Tallone graduating in 1902. The school of Tallone influenced him towards the figure and the portrait and to a subjective reworking in the manner of the movement of the scapigliatura.
