Erianto

Erianto (Born 1983) is known for Painting.

Erianto's exceptional realist work From Christie's London is a depiction of the frontal view of a crate packaging complete with labels of the sender and the recipient.  In the series of work, Erianto portrays different packaging boxes prepared by art institutions and galleries around the world in order for them to return the artwork.  In this spirit, Erianto is hoping that local galleries and institution will take example from international art institutions to take care of their artworks in the future.  With the idea of returning an artwork, Erianto also questions the existence and desire of the international art market towards Indonesian artists.
