Franz Keisermann

Franz Keisermann (1765 - 1833) was active/lived in Switzerland.  Franz Keisermann is known for Painting.

Franz Kaisermann is also known as François Keizermann or Francesco Kaisermann. In 1789 he moved to Rome and began working as a watercolor painter. He worked under the guidance of Louis Ducro. After a six-year stay in Naples, he finally settled in Rome in 1797. Numerous Roman views were created here, such as ruins, waterfalls of Tivoli, patrician villas in the Alban Mountains. His watercolors, signed "Keizermann", attracted the attention of distinguished travelers to Rome and found many lovers. Kaisermann painted for, among others, Prince Frederick of Saxe-Gotha, Grand Duke Michael, Prince Wolkonkij, Count Gurjeff, Prince Gustav of Sweden and for the English diplomat Stratford-Canning.
