Frederik Grue

Frederik Ebbesen Grue (1951 - 1995) was active/lived in Indiana, California.  Frederik Grue is known for Trompe still life, landscape, figure.

Frederik Ebbeson Grue, born in Sherman Oaks, California in 1951, was a realistic painter of still-lifes and landscapes based in Indiana. Self taught, he exhibited at the Grand Central Galleries, New York City; Hoosier Salon, Indiana; Hillcrest Festival, Whittier, California; and Montgomery Gallery, San Francisco. In 1978, the Pasadena Festival awarded him a prize.

A book on his work, "Beyond Realism: The Life and Art of Frederik Grue", authored by Carol Ann Weiss and Judith Vale Newton, was published in 1995 by BCL Press.
