From the Dictionary of Artists in Britain since 1945: "George McCullough (1922-) Painter, draughtsman and teacher, born and lived in Belfast, Northern Ireland.  He studied at the College of Technology and College of Art there 1940-7.  Went on to run the Donegal School of landscape Painting.  Showed at the RUA, Bell Gallery in Belfast, Cambridge and Oriel Galleries in Dublin and North America".
