George Edwards Hering

A painter of landscapes and figures, George Edwards Hering was the 4th son and 5th child of Charles Ernest Christian Hering (ca.1775-1813/1817) of German origin.  His father was the famous bookbinder of London 34 St. Martins Street and bookbinder to King George III.

He was born February 11, 1805 at Westminster, and baptized at St Martin in the Fields on May 19, 1805 (his parents had about 11 children of whom 10 survived).
