George W King

George W. King (1836 - 1930) was active/lived in New York, California.  George King is known for Landscape painting.

There were two George W Kings in Auburn at this time.  The first George W King died in 1922, but he was not the artist.  He is buried in Fort Hill Cemetery, Auburn.  The artist, George W King did not die until 1930 and per the information taken from the news accounts he is buried in Sand Beach Cemetery, outside of Auburn.  See the book reference about him to 1879 in the 1879 History of Cayuga County.
